The boat trips leave from St Justinians slipway, next to the current St David’s Lifeboat station.
From the centre of St David’s, turn left at the bottom of the Cross Square, travel down Goat Street past the Farmers Arms. The road takes a sharp left then a sharp right, after the St Nons Apartments turn sharp right down the hill. From here St Justinians is signposted. Proceed over the bridge and continue on this road past the Merrivale car park for 1.5 miles until you reach St Justinians.
The distance is approximately 2 miles but please leave yourself enough time to travel the road which is narrow with passing places.
There is also an hourly bus service that runs from our booking office in Oriel Y Parc visitor centre car park in St Davids, to St Justinians during the season. This service is increased to every half hour during school holidays and we can provide you with free bus tickets for this. NB. It does not run late enough to service the 18.00 shearwater trip and there although there is a bus at 08.00, there is no bus at 08.30.
There is limited free parking at the cliff side at St Justinians where there are lay-bys with about 30 car spaces – these are free and there is a disabled space, but they fill up quickly. You may use this area as a drop off point if you are parking further up the road. During school holidays there is additional field parking down there, this will be charged at either £3 or £5 for the day depending on what field is in use.
Please contact us to confirm travel plans.
If travelling by car please make sure you also leave yourself enough time to park and walk down the steps to the slipway. You need to be at the bottom of the St Justinian’s steps, ready to board, 15 minutes prior to your departure time.
