Most amazing lionsmane shot from @paulnicklen using @RepostRegramApp - If you fancy the chance of seeing one of these, hop on a trip with us, we see them in our waters fairly often. Up close and personal with a lion’s mane jellyfish along the coast of British Columbia. The largest lion’s mane jellyfish ever recorded was over 7 feet across the bell and had tentacles over 120 feet long. I have come out of dives in bc and have been stung as I pull off my drysuit. I must have swam through their tentacles without seeing them.

What a gorgeous and interesting repost from @drlouludd using @RepostRegramApp - Crowded together in a rockpool this merry bunch of Beadlet anemones were looking a little agro. With tentacles contracted the blue acrorhagi are clearly visible. These knobbles are packed with stinging cells and are used to fend off neighbouring anemones that get too close.
