“I think first and foremost, people only protect the things they love. And you can’t love something unless you inherently identify with it”. Kris Tomkins.
This is exactly why we love taking people out on to the water to experience our beautiful coastline and wildlife, so hopefully they themselves will fall in love and strive to conserve the beautiful world we live in.

Peregrine Falcon on Ramsey

We have been seeing the Ramsey island peregrine falcons fairly consistently this year. We have a bit of a soft spot for the peregrine, as skipper/director Ffion rescued a drowning peregrine from the north bay of Ramsey in the summer of 2013. She worked closely with the bird for months to discover why she had her initial accident that led to her being in the sea, and to bring her back up to strength to be released into the wild. When Ffi went to found the company, there was really only one name in mind, Falcon Boats. Every time we see a peregrine, we always wonder if it is Hiss, the bird Ffi rescued. Brilliant sightings of harbour porpoise yesterday. We switched off the engines and drifted through their feeding ground with the tide. It was so quiet that we could here them 'puffing' as they came up to breathe. Photo by @andthehare #AWildlifeExperience

I think we can speak for everyone here and say that we had just the most fantastic day on the water yesterday. Dramatic weather, great porpoise sightings, wonderfully curious seals and the peregrine. Thanks everyone for coming, stay tuned for more events like this @jackiemorrisartist @solvawoollenmill. Photos by @andthehare.
