Dolphins in Pembrokeshire •Rissos Dolphin, Grampus Griseus• We regularly catch up with these beautiful dolphins in our offshore waters and they are definitely one of our favourite species to see. Join us on one of our offshore trips for the chance to see these dolphins and more! Minke whale off Pembrokeshire, whale watching

We are delighted to be teaming up with Sea Watch Foundation again this year to offer specialist cetacean photography trips.  On these trips we will be joined by a Sea Watch Foundation scientist and professional photographer Janet Baxter.  This is a 3 hour trip dedicated to looking for cetaceans where Sea Watch staff will be carrying out photo ID on the animals to help build up their data base and knowledge of these animals.  Sea Watch’s main mission is to improve the conservation of whales, dolphins and porpoises and we are very excited to be involved with this.

We have a license to approach cetaceans when working with Sea Watch and you will also have the opportunity to benefit from some informal wildlife photography tuition from Janet Baxter.  This is an exclusive trip with limited numbers and advance booking is essential.

These trips will be run on the last weekend of the month weather permitting, for more information please phone 07494 141764 or email info@falconboats.co.uk

On the 28th May we will be running an exclusive 1.5 hr storytelling boat trip with Jackie Morris and Nicola Davies at 15.30.

Both Jackie and Nicola love crafting stories that help children and adults to engage with wild places and wild creatures; join them both for a magical journey around the Island of Ramsey. Travel across Ramsey Sound, away from the mainland and into the wild, where seals, birds and enchantment weave around the beautiful coastline in story and song.

Nicola Davies is a multi award winning author. Her book ‘The Promise’, illustrated by Laura Carlin, won the Green Earth Book award and was one of the New York times top ten picture books of the year. She is a Trustee of conservation organisation the World Land Trust and sings in a duo, Pangolin.

Jackie Morris is also multi award winner, both for her illustrations and her words. Her books, illustrations and art, reflect her deep love of the natural world, and the magic that connects us to it through myth and story. Her many books include: ‘The Seal Children’ set on the coast near her Pembrokeshire home, a tale of mythical beings, selkies, that walk as humans and swim as seals; Something About a Bear is on the Greenaway shortlist.

This is a rare appearance by two of the UK’s leading authors, with a small, intimate audience. This will be a 1.5 hour session at £60 a head. An opportunity not to be missed.

To book a space please phone us on 07494 141764 or email info@falconboats.co.uk
Please make sure you are at the lifeboat station 15 minutes before departure time and ensure you bring plenty of warm layers and a wind/waterproof as it is always colder out on the water.
