Getting Here

The boat trips leave from St Justinians slipway, next to the St David’s Lifeboat station.

From the centre of St David’s, turn left at the bottom of the Cross Square, travel down Goat Street past the Farmers Arms. The road takes a sharp left then a sharp right, after the St Nons Apartments turn sharp right down the hill. From here St Justinians is signposted. Proceed over the bridge and continue along this road past the Merrivale CarPark for 1.5 miles until you reach St Justinians.

The distance is approximately 2 miles but please leave yourself enough time to travel the road which is narrow with passing places.

Please be aware there are 64 steps down to the lifeboat station where you will board, and a further 24 steps up to the upper slipway which we use at low tide. Photos of the departure point can be seen below).

Bus Service

There is also an hourly bus service that runs from Oriel Y Parc visitor centre car park in St Davids, to St Justinians during the season.  This service is increased to every half hour during school holidays. Please check local bus schedules for exact times.

NB. The public bus does not run late enough to service the 18:00 shearwater trip. Please check seasonal times for the first bus of the day.

Free Parking

There is limited free parking at the cliff side at St Justinians; during high season there is additional field parking. The charge for this is £3 for the day (CASH ONLY). There are also lay-bys with about 30 car spaces – these are free and there is a disabled space, but they fill up quickly. You may use this area as a drop off point.

Please contact us to confirm travel plans.

St Justinians has limited facilities, so we would recommend you make any necessary pit stops in St David’s before travelling down.
