Can’t believe how quick the season is going, these little critters will be leaving Pembs soon for the winter. Come and see them before they are gone. Also, side note, can someone please give us the sunshine back? 🌞☔️

Think I got a few funny looks from our passengers yesterday for getting REALLY excited to see a puffin at Ramsey! The reason I got so excited is because the puffins don’t currently breed on Ramsey (you will find them on Skomer and the North Bishop) but the RSPB have an ongoing project to reintroduce puffins to the island. Seeing them so close to the island means hopefully the project is working. It may also be worth noting here that when Ffion sent a text to Greg (RSPB Ramsey warden) to inform him that we had seen the puffin, her autocorrect changed the message to say that we had just seen a pug! Somehow I don’t think Greg is so interested in small dog sightings off the South East tip of Ramsey…

Guillemot chicks have an exciting childhood! A chick taking a leap of faith to leave the breeding ledge and head out to sea. At this point the chicks can’t fly, but hop down into the water where they can dive and swim away from danger. Picture by CEH Seabirds.

Razorbills! We have seen our 1st razorbill chick on Ramsey this year and it looked quite big, which means they won’t be up on their breeding ledges on the island for much longer. Hop on a trip to come and see them before they head out to sea for a while

Saturday 17th September 2016

We are very excited to be teaming up with Glass Artist Steve Robinson for this new and unique workshop day.

During this full day you will join us at Falcon Boats to be taken to sea on a boat trip in the morning to gather inspiration, followed by an afternoon making your own glass wall hanging with Steve which will be fired for you overnight, ready for collection the next day. Whether you already work in glass, or are a complete novice wanting to try something new, Steve will tailor your tuition accordingly.

The cost for this is £250 for each place and must be paid in full to secure your place. Numbers will be limited to 7.
